・a pair of shoes：靴一足(左右セットで数える)

・put on / take off one's shoes：靴を履く/脱ぐ
例）Please take off your shoes at the door. （玄関で靴を脱いでください。）
・put oneself in someone's shoes：〜の立場になって考える
