・an independent + 名詞：独立した〜、独自の〜
例）She works at an independent bookstore. （彼女は独立系の書店で働いている。）
・「〜から独立して」と言うときの前置詞は of を使うのが基本だよ。
・反対語は dependent（頼っている）。in- がつくと意味が逆になるよ。
